Crock Pot Recipes

Crock pot recipes are always a hit. This white chicken chili recipe is a great way to prepare chicken in a crock pot. It’s also super for tailgating or a potluck. Following are the ingredients you will need to prepare this crock pot recipe. We are using a Rival crock pot, but any brand will do. To make a crock pot beef or pork crock pot recipe, just substitute those meats (cooked and shredded) for chicken in this recipe. Chicken Chile Verde – Crock Pot Recipes 2 (9.75 ounce) cans shredded chicken 1 1/2 cups fresh or frozen corn 2 (28 oz.) cans green enchilada sauce 1 (15 oz.) can Northern white beans 4 finely chopped garlic cloves 1 small onion, finely chopped 7 ounces Embasa brand salsa verde 7 ounces diced green chiles 1 handful fresh cilantro leaves, washed and chopped Chef Tip: Soak cilantro in a bowl of water first to remove dirt and sediment. Preheat a pan with 2 tablespoons oil. Next add and saute onion, cilantro and garlic about 2 minutes. Add chicken and mix well. Cook another minute. Coat Crock Pot with cooking spray. Add the rest of the ingredients to the crock pot, including the chicken mixture. Stir well. Set on high and cook about four hours. Soften tortillas on cooktop and fill with chile verde mixture. Top with sour cream, shredded cheese and homemade salsa. Need an elegant appetizer recipe that’s easy to make and won’t break the bank? Lauren Chattman from Pillsbury shows us how to make two different variations of pinwheel appetizers – one with Mediterranean flavors and another with good ole’ bacon and cheddar cheese. Appetizer recipes: How to make Mediterranean pinwheel appetizers Mediterranean Crescent Pinwheel Appetizers Recipe 1. Heat oven to 375°F. Spray cookie sheets with nonstick cooking spray. Separate dough into 4 rectangles; place on lightly floured surface. Firmly press perforations to seal. Press or roll each to form 8×5-inch rectangle. 2. Arrange 1/4 of prosciutto slices over each rectangle. In small bowl, combine cheese, pepper and oil; mix well. Sprinkle mixture over prosciutto on each rectangle. Sprinkle with basil. 3. Starting at short side of each rectangle, roll up; seal long edges. With serrated knife, cut each roll into 5 slices. Place cut side up on sprayed cookie sheets. 4. Bake at 375°F. for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from cookie sheets. Serve warm. Bacon-Cheddar Pinwheel Appetizers Recipe 1. Heat oven to 350°F. Unroll dough and separate into 2 long rectangles; press each into 12×4-inch rectangle, firmly pressing perforations to seal. 2. Spread dressing over each rectangle to edges. Iron Cactus Launches the Search for the Best Margarita Recipe via Facebook in Celebration of National Margarita Day

In celebration of National Margarita Day on February 22nd, Iron Cactus, an award-winning Mexican restaurant and margarita bar with five locations in Austin, Dallas and San Antonio, today announced its search for the best margarita recipe through its Facebook page.

Beginning February 12th through February 18th, Iron Cactus guests will be invited to submit their original margarita recipes on its official Facebook page. Recipes submitted will be judged by a certified Iron Cactus mixologist who will select the top three margarita recipes. The top three recipes chosen will be available at all Iron Cactus locations for guests to try from February 22nd to February 28th. Guests can then vote for their favorite recipe through a Facebook voting feature. On February 29th, the winning margarita recipe will be announced and added on Iron Cactus’ menu for the entire month of March. Milagro Blanco tequila will be used when making the top three recipes.

“We enjoy hearing feedback from our guests about our margaritas at our restaurants and on Facebook,” said Gary Manley, General Partner at Iron Cactus. “This is an opportunity for our guests of drinking age to showcase their talents beyond their private parties, and at the same time, have a chance for their original recipe be served at an award-winning restaurant and margarita bar.”
